I’m also one of four siblings born within five years of each other, and I’m incredibly close with my older sister, who encouraged me to pursue this work. When we had our babies just three months apart, she unknowingly put me through what I like to call “baby bootcamp,” helping prepare me for my first year of motherhood in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. More importantly, she was someone I could lean on during those early months when I felt overwhelmed, confused, or just exhausted. I experienced postpartum rage with my first (bless my husband for loving me through those moments), but having my sister there to ground me and remind me I wasn’t doing anything wrong made all the difference. That kind of support is something every mother deserves, and it’s exactly why I’m so passionate about the work I do today.
